For those yet unaware (where were you again?) this is simply a re-release of the February release from the magazine Shoujo Sect originally was serialized in. Meaning that, while there's no new content, it's now been done with tanky scans.

And before anyone raises inquiries on it, yes, it was discussed with doki-doki, and no, they did not care to have their tag on it as they have officially disbanded. Instead we simply opted to put in the credits for their contributions (which was effectively base translation) on the inside slip.

Otenba henceforth only will support this version... consider it a "final" one.

Oh. And the comments thing... uhhh. *points at AoyamaMotoko* I've told the proper sources to fix it... :( If you really want to flame, compliment, or w/e comment you can use the contact field. That should... still work. Yeah.

 Right so.

No, we haven't forgotten about the Shoujo Sect OVA. It will be done; likely sometime around our birthday, the Anime Gods willing.

Um, mostly, this was a sort of impromptu get-together, when started out saying how we'd like to do something this season, and then we kinda realized how much we were raging over everyone using CrunchyRoll's stuff for this show... and just regurgitating and regurgitating and... well, you get the idea. I mean, really, there's like what, 7 groups on this show, and not a damn one of them were using their own subs? Or even pretending to do TS? Get a life and gb2/failrippingDVDs/.

Editor for this project has worked on our Marimite 3rd OVA releases as well as some work for another group for another yuri series that was totally underrated a few years ago. Timer new to the group, but not to the scene. Typeset by yours truly. Regarding the encode: the guy running it said that even after comparing all those raws, the 720ps weren't worth the effort. That said, I don't really care to hear the whining. QCs are awesome as always, some of our true-blue vets taking the show.

Oh, and [otenba]Shinobu, our new bot, would love to meet you. If you're female, anyway. And won't get in her way to reach [otenba]Momoko. And let me tell you, she's fast when it comes to pretty girls... (Read: The Shinobu bot is capable of supporting anime episodes; Momoko's been regulated to manga-only duty.)

So that you're not concerned, we've already got the rest of the episodes into edit/QC mode. We're not dropping this. And no, it isn't affecting my desire to work on the Shoujo Sect manga, either. It's hard when you have to scan and edit all these pages as one person. It's a time-drain, and is frankly exhausting. Hopefully someone might step forward to help out? Well, anyway, doing it for posterity mostly.

Episode 02 - [AVI XviD] & [h264]

I have had quite literally the week from hell, guys. So please, I'm begging each and every one of you, enjoy these releases. It will make it healthier for everyone involved. -_-

Big huzzah for another Shoujo Sect release, and of course the aforementioned oneshot we swiped picked up from Lililicious, Together with Master, also know as Goshujin-sama to Isshou. It's cute and... furry. At least, well... yeah, it's really kinda furry, no matter how you look at it. BUT STILL CUTE IN ITS OWN WAY. Gosh. Stop looking at me like that. :(

Still hiring photoshop editors. And oh yes, Otenba will be picking up Marimite 4th come January. It is currently undecided if this will be a joint with Lililicious or not. We do, however, need a dedicated encoder for that particular project; our current one will be too far bogged down to assist us. So please, apply in IRC by PM'ing a staff member. We look forward to meeting you!

Well, okay, so it's not really a new set of characters, but it is a new project, technically. Otenba proudly presents our first solo venture into anime: the Shoujo Sect - Innocent Lovers - OVA series.

A healthy round of applause, if you please, for our newest translator Kokizzzle for his dedication on this. Also let's give a hearty welcome to our new anime-oriented team members: Dragon5152, Hapless, and Tressflin. Great work, guys, and I think I speak for leechers and staff alike when we say we look forward to relishing in your debut!

Please note that both of these are DVD quality release, and that NO the next two episodes are NOT yet released raw, which means it's going to be impossible for us to work on them until they do. So please don't ask.

Having trouble getting in contact with some of my old photoshop editors (which isn't exactly surprising). We do have a couple active (reliable!) translators now however, and expect to be releasing quite a bit over the next few months, so therefore we're needing a couple people interested in working on photoshop editing, as I'll be more busy scanning. Please apply in IRC by PMing Sumiregawa-kun in #otenba @ irc.rizon.net.

We'll also be picking up a couple of one-shots -- Isuzu no Counter by Kurogane Kenn, and Goshujin-sama to Issho by Himawari Souya (originally a Yuri Hime 4 one-shot, officially dropped by Lililicious). Expect to see those coming down the line.

PS - Don't despair. I mean it this time. :)

Well, we do have base translations and someone working to check over Volume 2 also, but the trouble is we don't have base translations for chapter 7 and the extra chapter in Volume 1. Anyone want to step up to the bat on this? We can have someone check it, but you'd need to understand some kanji on this project.

Also, if anyone is interested in translating via audio in anime, Otenba would have the staff available beyond and would definitely love to sub the Shoujo Sect OVA coming out this summer sometime. Give us a ring in the IRC room. :)
