For those yet unaware (where were you again?) this is simply a re-release of the February release from the magazine Shoujo Sect originally was serialized in. Meaning that, while there's no new content, it's now been done with tanky scans.

And before anyone raises inquiries on it, yes, it was discussed with doki-doki, and no, they did not care to have their tag on it as they have officially disbanded. Instead we simply opted to put in the credits for their contributions (which was effectively base translation) on the inside slip.

Otenba henceforth only will support this version... consider it a "final" one.

Oh. And the comments thing... uhhh. *points at AoyamaMotoko* I've told the proper sources to fix it... :( If you really want to flame, compliment, or w/e comment you can use the contact field. That should... still work. Yeah.

Enjoy anyway, and wish me luck in settling into my new apartment... I've already managed to nearly kill myself because I work a mostly sendentary lifestyle (lol callcenter) and tried to lift stuff way too heavy for me.

Well, however it works. Episode 3 raw is out, and we are working on that with a few less things in the way. (Like me learning some AFX, and the moving... and yeah.)

And so, with this, we have finished Volume 1. Great job for all those who worked on these two releases - you really came together to make it happen!

Now, as I'd like to note, yet again, we are hiring photoshop editors. Experience is preferred and a test is involved. IRC is a must! It's how we coordinate our efforts.

Well, okay, so it's not really a new set of characters, but it is a new project, technically. Otenba proudly presents our first solo venture into anime: the Shoujo Sect - Innocent Lovers - OVA series.

A healthy round of applause, if you please, for our newest translator Kokizzzle for his dedication on this. Also let's give a hearty welcome to our new anime-oriented team members: Dragon5152, Hapless, and Tressflin. Great work, guys, and I think I speak for leechers and staff alike when we say we look forward to relishing in your debut!

Please note that both of these are DVD quality release, and that NO the next two episodes are NOT yet released raw, which means it's going to be impossible for us to work on them until they do. So please don't ask.

Wow. Um, so this is what you get for waiting, you lazy, lazy leechers. *pretend angry face*?

Well, we do have base translations and someone working to check over Volume 2 also, but the trouble is we don't have base translations for chapter 7 and the extra chapter in Volume 1. Anyone want to step up to the bat on this? We can have someone check it, but you'd need to understand some kanji on this project.

Also, if anyone is interested in translating via audio in anime, Otenba would have the staff available beyond and would definitely love to sub the Shoujo Sect OVA coming out this summer sometime. Give us a ring in the IRC room. :)

Just buzzin' in here on V-day, as the time is trickling away... wanting to wish all you pervy otaku a groovy evening. Even if you don't have a girl to spend it with, at least the girls in Shoujo Sect do, ya know? And hey, Kurogane Kenn will even let ya watch.

Hopefully we'll get into a better habit than releasing holidays. It's my goal. Special thanks to Kunio-kun for giving us a hand to make these possible.

And well, Otenba is also seeking another japanese translator or two, seeing as how pretty much half the translation team is kinda gone for one reason or another. This going back and forth with staff availability is killing me. x_x;

Okay, so we've not had a release in over a month. Sorry about that. But hopefully the fact that the release is Shoujo Sect chapter 2 takes the edge off a bit. ;)

The worst you could possibly hear is, "no, sorry." ^^

Hrmm, what's this? Sumi scans tanky bought with donation moneys. Sumi re-edits the first part, which is the same as August 2003 issue of the magazine, and tosses in the tanky extra pages as well as shiny covers, wrappers, and more?!

Ho, ho. Lucky day for the leechers, indeed.

So, just to be clear everyone - this is actually the same chapter as before, the August 2003 issue, that's been rescanned and revamped along with the extra pages included in the tankouban. So please, don't be confused or upset that it's the same smut scene. In the meantime, we've got more coming now where that came from - a big huzzah for our new translator boke who's been hard at work on this project!

Today we have RoDream Ch8 and Shoujo Sect August 2003. What does this mean? It means all that adult fun will have a story to go with it! Yes, we've started from the beginning of Shoujo Sect and will now be releasing them in order.

Otenba is proud to announce a new project for you today, released as a joint with dokidoki (#dokidoki@irc.rizon.net)! We bring you: Shoujo Sect by Kurogane Kenn. This is currently being published in a larger (ADULT) anthology, but according to the website of the artist, a tankubon will be released sometime in the near future. But until then, we couldn't wait! The art is beautiful, here. The manga itself is made up of shorter individual stories. They're not about the same characters focused on each time, but as a helpful reference, Shinobu and Momoko do have an interlude or two in chapters featured before this one. Sorry we can't bring them out in order, but we haven't scans for them all! At a later date, we'll most likely re-release them in a more ordered fashion. In the meantime, please enjoy this one! :D
